A week in Nairobi

Its now a week since Kaine was admitted with persistent headache and i have been around here care taking, its quiet tiring to wake up and just walk to the hospital , sit, talk, eat and attend to endless calls from friends, relatives and voters asking about a subject am not really good at describing!!!
But well that's what i signed to do it was my calling, its encouraging and it really tests your capacity to handle stressful situations!
Tuesday was admission day, first consultation with a neurosurgeon and later doing the paper work for admission,at first the diagnosis(suspected) was pressure but on doing the recommended tests everything had nothing to do with blood pressure, day three MRI,CT scan and L.P are recommended to be done and by Friday last week MRI and the CT brain scan had been finalised with the results showing a Brain infection, but now what infection?? That's when the Neuro comes in to request for the L.P test(a every painful test) to be done, but being a Saturday nothing was done they kept us in suspense with constant drips on her until yesterday when it was done and we are waiting for the results 2morrow(which as i write the Dr is in the room to share them with us),its then that we can know what type of treatment to administer on her............
As all this was being done i really learnt a lot about health, our health systems and our trained professionals!!!
Imagine for all this long my wife has had brain complications but my good Dr.s have never tried to diagnise the cause of the high blood pressure and actually the pressure on the brain, instead we have been treating the symptoms......its equally had to understand why our good government can not have some testing equipments at our referral Hospitals and not even the teaching university in Mbarara(i am compelled to ask how are radiologists trained with out equipments) don't u think we have theoretical trained Doctors?!
On our health, how many of us ever take time to understand the human diseases in a lay mans way,so that u are never swayed to take on unnecessary treatment like its commonly done in most of our hospitals?!!!
Do u believe that most of our relatives die because of wrong diagnosis from inception and they go on to get wrong treatment?!

Back to life in Nairobi, its funny that in this world we still have countries were life is still at the mercy of thugs, here moving on foot after dark its the biggest risk u can take, they still have robberies at gun point, people have resorted to house parties for their own safety!!!

to be continued!

Weddings Kariiro&Kashagama

This weekend was equally a success though achieved the hard way!!

As at Friday evening i had not committed myself on whether i would attend Dan,Molly &Kafeero's functions in Kashagama and Kariiro respectively,i had a allot on my mind, staying in town to prepare for my travel to Kenya and miss a golden opportunity to introduce myself in Kashagama and Kyakuterekera or to strain myself and ensure that i attend and prove my commitment to this cause!

By 8am on Saturday i was still in bed completely confused on how to raise money for Fuel and upkeep for the two days but some how as Sewandingi calls it 'Ghosts' harassed me until i woke up as a possessed person and set out to go by all means!!

I started out with the dry cleaners then to the car and lastly to getting fuel but it was all ar hassle until i was ready by 2pm, u can imagine!!

I left at 2pm for the function in kashagama, by 4pm i was in Lyantonde, dressed up,moved to Kinuuka to pick Mugabi and Rutebuka and by 6pm i was at the Venue, early enough to be introduced but late to make any impact on eye to eye conversations!!!

5minutes after our arrival-u know its now a team its no longer myself-(Me,Mugabi,Rutebuka,Wilson Munyakaroo&Brothers,Nkamuhabwa&Kasenene) our "friend" was up asking for the microphone to give his speech and leave for another function!!!

I don't know whether it was our presence that  turned his face to look like a wounded lion and have him rush or it was really the function in Kampala(Tumwine''s wedding)! But well he gave his speech with his famous quotes u all know....this time i cant even recite it but it was "" Ekyeizire kyemerwa Kapaa ekemera amashuyo..""!!!!!

Any way later i got a chance to introduce myself and strengthen my presence thanks to Besiiga and Dan !!

By 10pm  Besiiga had given his speech and  the functions was more or less closed though it was later to turn out unfortunate when the grand Mother passed on! Well i and my team we  moved  to Kariiro, here really i need 2hours or more to explain how they welcomed us, but it was promising not with the opening song preaching about hatred" sijuyi a majimbi"!!!

Come Sunday,it was a big time hassle, looking out for money, borrowing footballs for kyewanura from Mugabi and Posho for the Muslim community from Mukasa!!!
But i give credit to one friend who saved the day with a million shillings which helped me on paying the bills and having a balance for my journey to Nairobi!!!
As i write am  in Nairobi, my  beautiful wife needs medical review and i hope to get a lasting solution to her constant headache this time round.......
Update u soon!!!

25&50 yrs celebraion!

How many of our generation will ever achieve those yrs in marriage? Well it’s now time to start looking forward to that!!
Last week i was in the constituency just to clean up "ngu ensi kwegu gamba nekwiha oku ogye hoohora nogiha oku" is it?
On Friday i was in Kinuuka-Nakasozi for a give away at Jovans' home, it was well attended though one of my opponent's campaign agents was the MC and he did his best to antagonise me by not giving me a chance to say something, but he missed the point when he failed to realise that what he did was to my favour after everyone got to know!!
Saturday was the busiest with 4 functions in Kariiro,2-Buyaga and Kanyeganyegye my attendance was well publicised and my short speeches were good enough to make our good minister have sleepless nights, not after him telling everyone how i had been stopped from contesting as if i am a chicken thief!!!Well two of the functions were about silver and golden jubilee in marriage and they were all inspiring thanks to both Salongos!
Sunday i attended service at our village church-here-it was all blessings and advise on how to win......later i attended a graduation ceremony at Hajjat Bisega's and guess what it was the most motivating function and gave me hope that whatever it takes i will be in parliament come 2011!!

Monday started on a low note i had to take the car to the garage and financially i was down not after the three days of spending left right and centre.....wallet check at 1million negative!!
i had to re-organise and move to Lyantonde rural, by 2pm i was 500k positive and i started my movement from Kyewanula to Kabuyanda it was all good and i tell u these are the most displaced citizens, their concerns were developmental- ''No waragi, repair their roads, build the mosque/church and u will have their votes'' was the theme!
I ended my days on Tuesday by visiting senior citizens in Lyantonde town and attending the NRM liberation day at Kayembe play grounds.
Memory lane.....Lyantonde town and Rural are clear lanes and that puts me at 5subcounties and that puts me at a winning level, what i need is consistency and cash because i have lost some agents b'se of cash Naye ekyo tekiyamba.
Thanks go to:

February 2010 program

Its now a month since i was last in Lyantonde on campaign issues and much has been said since then, some that i was bought out of the race others that Total is hunting for me and that's why i cant campaign any more and a few who understand have been able to call me straight to verify the propaganda, but those who are on the fence or call them the faint hearted have gone on to propel the lies and propaganda!!!

Well to u all my friends and those yet to be my friends, first i want to thank those that have been on my side in all that has been side and those that have taken their time to call and get the facts!!

To put the record straight i have been off the campaign trail for now a month to re-organise myself after it was clear that the NRM primaries had been pushed to June 2010,of course for those who have been following my movements u are aware i started quite early thinking that NRM will stick to its road map which they distributed last year in may and it had indicated that the primaries would be in March this year.
I traversed the district starting as early as August 2008 and its quite a very expensive venture and my plan was to end it latest April this year, thus when changes were made pushing the primaries to June i had to do the inevitable, review my progress, adjust my program, re-set my targets and refresh myself mentally and psychologically!!!

So am now on and effective February am starting with Kashagama and Lyatonde rural ,i am also looking at 20th February to officially launch in Kampala and by the second week i will have my campaign teams for all sub counties drafted, each communicated to and have draft budgets for their movements approved.

To my supporters, friends and relatives take it from me no turning back and from now on wards any queries direct them to me don't be part of the wagon of naysayer! Thanks.

My road to Parliament 2011.

It all began in 2008 September just after my Annual leave for 2007, i set out with a plan and i will say i have been on course until Nov'09 and am now drafting a new road map for 2010!

First i held meetings with all district leaders from members of parliament to L.3 chairpersons and then i visited most opinion leaders in the district and by dec'08 i was sure of what the ground was like.

Thereafter i started the district familiarisation tour with the help of a few committed 'friends' and cadres, this i did until August 2009.

As at August i had effectively covered 4 of the 6 sub counties and i had visited most of the churches in the district except Mosques which ar few and i had reserved them for the last moments.

As of today i am left with two sub counties of kashagama and Lyantonde rural which i intend to cover by end of February 2010.

However, this project has not been that smooth, though what counsels me is that i was psychologically prepared for all that i have gone through and am yet to go through.....since the time frame stretches up to February 2011!!

Financially i have been constrained to the extreme limits,i have been faced with damaging propaganda,it has caused allot of stress to my family, friends and acquaintances and at times i have lost confidence in myself and at times i have acted out of the norm!!

But what keeps me moving is the LOVE i have for the game, the DESIRE to keep the fire burning, the COMMITMENT to friendship and the WILL never to disappoint!

But wait a minute what did i expect? no goal can be achieved without any effort!!!
